BIOGRAPHY
He received his BFA from the National College of Arts and earned his MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2024, where he was awarded the graduate award for Big, Bold, Creative Thinking. His work has been featured at the Boston Cyberarts Gallery, the Ray and Maria Stata Center at MIT, Waveforms (Midway Artist Studios), MassArt x SoWa, Piano Craft Gallery, and Cambridge Art Association. In October 2023, he hosted his inaugural solo exhibition, 'Material Nature,' at the Godine Family Gallery. He has collaborated with Coca-Cola, Pepsi, KFC, Legendary Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Universal Music. His award-winning performances have been held at MIT Theater Arts, Lahore Arts Council, the New England Conservatory, the Brookline Public Library, and many more.
Shozab Raza (b. 1997, Sialkot, Pakistan) is a Boston-based designer and creative technologist. He currently teaches Generative Design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Design Strategy and Software at Boston University, in addition to working as a freelance designer and media artist. Raza’s work explores human-machine intimacy through sensory-rich, interactive experiences. His goal is to create surfaces, objects, spaces, and experiences that bridge the gap between the organic and the synthetic. His work addresses biotechnological evolution, human-machine interaction, speculative design fiction, and the philosophical frameworks of Transhumanism, and Posthumanism. He specializes in computational design, creative coding, fabrication, interaction, sensors, light, and sound design—with traditional media like writing, drawing, sculpture, painting, and theatrical performance.
