Performances

Performance has been a key aspect of my practice, enabling me to create experiences that elicit powerful human emotions while also enhancing my ability to communicate effectively and connect more deeply as a person.

The majority of my performances incorporate advanced technology, intricate lighting and sound design, sensor integration, high production values, and immersive storytelling.

VOID

Man: What is the meaning of my existence?

Machine: Come.... Join me

Man: Why should I join you?

Machine: Without me, you are nothing.

Man: *connects to the system*

Machine answers: "Void."

Our choreographed performance explores a dialogue between the human and the matrix.

Through immersive projected visuals, the matrix takes shape on stage, transforming the space into a dark, glitch-ridden realm that reflects its soulless inner workings. It hungers for a soul, and the human becomes its prey.

A human's search for meaning in a digitized world blurs the boundary between reality and code.

Shozab Raza’s performance transforms the mundane rhythms of a daily routine into a surreal and chaotic narrative, blending everyday actions with unconventional soundscapes sampled from various objects. As the performance progresses, the familiar morning rituals of waking up, brushing teeth, and going to work evolve into an unpredictable, high-energy spectacle where reality breaks down. With a dynamic variation in music and energy, the office setting spirals into an absurd war-like scenario, culminating in a dramatic nuclear explosion. Through this transformation, the performance explores the fragility of normalcy and the unpredictability of human experience.

A person struggles to distinguish between a lucid dreaming experience and real life.
